Give your Firefox a Google Chrome look

Google Chrome Firefox ThemeThe recently launched Google Chrome has got much applauds for it’s cool looks. The Google branded browser has a nice soft blue interface that is pleasing to the eyes.

But I’m one of the many Firefox addicts who just can’t seem to use any other browser or there are people running Linux or Mac for whom Chrome has not yet been released. So can’t we guys have our Firefox wearing those Chrome like looks? Well actually you can skin your Firefox with Chromifox.

Chromifox is a bright and soft blue theme for Firefox 3, inspired by the appearance of the Google Chrome web browser. You can use it on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Download Chromifox.

Note: You need to have Firefox 3 to use this theme.

EASEUS Partition Manager

28 Oct 2008 In: Softwares

I’m always a little wary of free applications that do low-level chores like partitioning, but darned if I could find any problem with Easeus Partition Manager. It created, deleted, formatted, moved and resized partitions with aplomb in my rather-more-rigorous-than-usual testing. All operations are virtual until you click the apply button so you can do complex partitioning chores in relative safety. Even so, if you haven’t been warned at least a hundred times–always back up before you edit your partition table.

Besides the pretty charming interface, it is extremely easy to use. People consider Partition Magic the precursor of partition management software. The interface of EASEUS PM looks like Partition Magic to make similar faces to PC users. No jargon to trouble you. And the simple words on the interface show everything clearly.

EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista. These three operating systems occupied more than 80% market. I guess this freeware will be a must have for computers.

Add Web Pages to PowerPoint PresentationsLets suppose that you are giving a presentation on “Using Google Effectively” and at some time you need to demonstrate certain Google tricks through the web browser.

To do so, you minimize your slideshow, launch the browser, open google.com and wait for the page to load and then show the tricks. Once you are over with it, you again resume your PPT slideshow.

Well that’s a bit crappy, so why don’t we directly embed the web page into the slideshow?

Check out LiveWeb-it’s a free add-in for PowerPoint that lets you insert live webpages to your slides. LiveWeb is like embedding a normal web browser into your presentations as it allows you to interact with web pages as if they are opened in a web browser.

LiveWeb uses a wizard based approach to add websites into presentations. You can add URL’s and assign their relative positions on the slide.

Besides websites, you can even embed dynamic web graphics into your slideshows.

LiveWeb is a freeware and is available for all versions of PowerPoint (97-2007). Installation is simple and steps regarding the same are provided at their site. [via Digital Inspiration]
