Samsung has just released another OTA update for the Galaxy SIII and this time they’ve added a brightness toggle to the notification area. The latest update comes in at 72.68MB and should be available to most of the users by now.
Several users have felt that the auto-brightness setting wasn’t making the best of that large 4.8 inch screen. Samsung seems to have addressed their concerns. With the new OTA update, Samsung has added a brightness widget to the drop-down menu. You can now simply adjust the brightness to the desired level from the notification menu. There’s also an ‘Auto’ setting option in case you don’t wish to constantly adjust it.
Apart from the brightness toggle, the OTA update also brings in some stability fixes. If you haven’t checked for the update yet, then hit the update button in the settings menu.
