15 Feb 2009 In: Mobile

Someone recently uploaded a video showing an HTC Touch HD running Windows Mobile 6.5 (build 21159.5.0.0). From the looks of it, it seems to be a fairly rough beta version of the OS but it does showcase a new home screen, “honeycomb” launcher, portrait mode, IE Mobile and lots of other interface tweaks.

Tech-Junky.com is one year old today. I started this blog on February 4, 2008 and it’s been a great experience sharing stuff and interacting with readers.

Before launching Tech Junky, I used my blogger blog Tech Check as a medium for sharing information. It was after some time then that I realised a website would be good and this made way for this blog.

I thank all the people who have read my articles and posts. Appreciation from readers like you makes me add more good stuff to the blog, so please drop in your comments whenever you feel like.

The past few days have been a bit busy and I haven’t been able to add new posts frequently. This is likely to carry on for some more days but I’m very keen on getting back and this will happen very soon. Please stay in touch. You can subscribe to the feed so as to get notified when I update the blog.

Cheers!!

Microsoft Office 14 screenshots

16 Jan 2009 In: Softwares

A Russian site named Wzor has leaked out a few screenshots of the Microsoft Office 14 alpha build that was given out to certain select testers this week.

The screenshots show an array of applications, including Excel, Access, Groove, InfoPath, OneNote, InterConnect, Powerpoint, Publisher, Project, Outlook, Word, Vizio, and SharePoint Designer.

Office 14’s UI looks pretty similar to that of Office 2007 and has not been overhauled yet.

According to the alpha testers, Office 14 will most probably have a 2009 release and will maybe named as Office System 2009.

Video: Nokia N97 hands-on

In one of my earlier posts, I gave information regarding Nokia’s upcoming N97. If you’ve not read that post, give it a shot.

The guys over at Engadget recently had their hands on the N97. The phone is fairly sleek and stylish and comes with a QWERTY keyboard. For more on the N97, take a look at the video above.
